Genaro David Góngora

Genaro David Góngora Pimentel is a Mexican jurist who was a member of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) from 1995 to 2009 and served as its President (Chief Justice) from 1999 to 2003.Góngora Pimentel studied law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. and obtained a doctorate at the same university.

President Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de León nominated him as a Minister of the Supreme Court (Associate Justice). Góngora Pimentel was confirmed by the Senate on January 26, 1995.
