Qoph (The Path of Mystery)

Overview

Qoph, known as the "Path of Mystery", is often seen as a path that exists on the threshold between the earthly and the spiritual world. It is where people on this path are guided by their sensitivity, imagination, and intuition.

Position in the Tree of Life

Qoph connects the sephirots, or spheres, of Netzach and Malkhuth in the Hebrew Tree of Life. Netzach occupies the 7th position in the Tree of Life and it is the sphere that is associated with victory, representing our inner feelings, our emotions and our sentiments, and revealing our innermost desires, needs and requirements. In Jewish tradition this sphere is ruled over by the Guardian angel Haniel. Malkhuth occupies the 10th position in the Tree of Life and it is the sphere that is associated with our roots or the physical world, showing those things that manifest in our present life, our awareness and our consciousness. In Jewish tradition, Malkhuth is ruled over by the archangel Sandalphon.

Personality Type

Those on the Path of Qoph tend to be very creative and imaginative - they are dreamers who are unconventional in their approach to life. They tend to be highly intuitive individuals who feel things deeply, and who tend to be compassionate and kind towards others. People on this path tend to have a relaxed, easy going demeanor, which can be mistaken for lethargic or lazy by others if they aren’t careful. Their adventurous, unconventional, and creative streak can sometimes make it hard for others to understand their perspective, which can become a source of frustration as friends and relatives are of utmost importance to them.
