The Ayurveda & Yoga spiritual tradition originated in ancient India and has been practiced for thousands of years. It focuses on helping you feel your best by caring for your body, mind, and spirit through balance, movement, and mindfulness. Today, many people all over the world use this approach to improve their health, reduce stress, and live a more peaceful life.
Ayurveda (which means "knowledge of life" in Sanskrit) is a natural system of healing that is based on the idea that each person has a unique combination of energies. When these energies are properly balanced, you feel healthy and energetic, and when they’re out of balance, you might feel tired, sick, or stressed. Ayurveda uses food, herbs, sleep, massage, and daily routines to help bring your energy back into balance.
Yoga (which means "union" in Sanksrit) attempts to help your energy properly flow by establishing a connection between your body, breath, mind, and spirit. This can be done through “asanas” (physical movements to build strength and flexibility), “pranayama” (breathing exercises to control your energy and calm your mind), meditation and mindfulness, and “mantras” (chants to uplift your spirit and help with inner peace).
Together, Ayurveda and Yoga are intended to help you stay balanced and aware, so you can catch problems early, take care of yourself with love and wisdom, and live a healthier and more peaceful life.
