Hi Ishara, you are not alone here 🤗 if you used to do it in the past, then it might have also become a habit. Best to start where you are, so each time you notice you’ve slipped away, just gently bring yourself into the moment. You could also practice a mindfulness technique where you label everything you see, hear and smell around you, bringing your awareness sharply into your surroundings. The more you practice mindfulness and bringing yourself into the present moment, the better you’ll become. Another exercise is scanning the body and seeing how it feels against the chair, or floor etc or how your fingers feel when you stroke the fluffy pillow etc… so tuning into your body in relation to the physical world. You can do this anywhere and anytime and it will help bring you here, now ☺️
