Philippians 4 says "do not be anxious about anything but in every situation through prayer and thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." That peace is not the absence of difficulty. It is something that settles in the middle of it. That is what prayer produces when you bring things honestly before Him.
