Pleasure as reward vs pleasure as coping: Do you allow yourself to indulge in pleasures like excessive food, sex or substances when you’ve achieved a big goal, or do you indulge in these things when you’re experiencing a lot of hardships & need a clutch to get through? In my opinion, indulging in these pleasures occasionally, as a form of reward is healthier to do than indulging as a form of coping. Indulging as a form of coping can lead to way more dependence and create negative habits.
