Taking time to unwind especially after busy days is a requirement to allow sleep to emerge. Even after being out having fun doesn’t mean you can come home, jump into bed and expect to fall asleep immediately. The mind needs time to unwind - if not before bed then it happens in bed! A bedtime ritual can incorporate wind down time, quiet activity, maybe even a guided meditation, some light stretching or movement practice can all serve to prepare for sleep.
