Hi Dr Ed. I try counting meditation, or ‘labelling the thoughts’ mediation and guided meditation but I end up getting really stressed. Breathing work seems to help me more but either way, the only thing that works is getting out of bed and walking around the flat tbh
I would suggest you try HeartMath as a biofeedback system that focuses on your heart & gratitude. The feedback aids in discovering when you are actually relaxing. You can try various other practices to get feedback on how they are working (or not!). I strongly recommend doing these practice sessions away from bedtime and bedroom. Before introducing a bedtime practice you want to be well practiced in eliciting relaxation first.
Sorry to hear this, I’ve tried meditation 🧘♀️ but it’s not helping. Guess I need to find a way to destress. Hope you manage to fall asleep quickly and have a good nights rest 😴
