How vivid and unsettling have your daytime experiences been lately?
Not so much tbh… but current affairs has affected me a lot I guess. It’s making me feel very unsafe and unable to do anything about it. Maybe that’s coming out in my sleep…

"Maybe that’s coming out in my sleep…"Exactly!
As our awareness of the unconscious processes running in the background increases, we can trace some of these untoward feelings back to their source. This is why meditation in general can be extremely helpful-we learn to be more aware of our mind processes.
One option would be something I offer to all my patients-a "TO-DO LIST"! Now hear me out to understand the true purpose of this practice.
After your day is done, dishes in the dishwasher or on the rack drying, kids are off doing some activity or already in bed, and you now have a few moments to your self. This is the best time to sit with your mind-what's on your mind right now? Allow it to free associate, or start with just writing down what you need to do tomorrow. Then allow free thoughts to bring up what your present worries are-we all have them but don't usually provide the space for acknowledgement. This is when all those nebulous fears can rise to the surface, be acknowledged, and understood that while times may be unmanageable at the moment--ALL THINGS CHANGE, eventually-allow that you may not be able to deal with these things but they do not have to rule your life. Put them aside, thanking your inner self for trying to be helpful and then move on to some deeply relaxing activity-could be TV, prayer, meditation or just a brief walk around the backyard or the neighborhood-Nature is incredibly helpful to remind us what is really important!
I hope this helps :)
