One of the simplest approaches is to focus intensely on your sensory experience. You can start with your breath, and then gradually let it expand to your body, but donât just make it shallow really dig in to the actual feeling the actual sensations of the breath in your nose or the rising and falling your abdomen feel the temperature noticed the texture of the breath. Is it smooth or rough, long or short flowing or halting, deep or shallow, etc. really pay close attention to it. Have you focused on the breath usually youâre aware as well after a little while expand out into a full body awareness or you can direct it there yourself when youâre ready. Suddenly, youâll notice that your mind has calmed down a little bit. Just remembered to be kind to yourself. Of course the mind is going to generate lots of thoughts. Simply notice it release it relax and return to your breath or your bodily sensation. Work on that for a while and we can talk about the next steps after That.
