One thing that helps me is shifting how i relate to those thoughts instead of trying to stop them. When they come up, i try to acknowledge them gently, and then return to my breath or grounding word. Every time you notice and return, you’re strengthening your mindfulness.

Same here I’ve been having that problem too.

Like Sophia said, acknowledge them and let them pass. Just imagine these negative thoughts as passing wind or water slipping through your fingers. You can't stop them, but you can prevent them from stopping you.

Good question! I believe the trick is not to try and stop them but to notice them and let them slip away.
