This was my daily news letter from The Weather Channel. It reminds me that is your ever feeling a bit mire emotional…check the full moon calendar. It affects everyone differently. In customer service/healthcare type jobs the side affeet can be experienced for a week prior to a week after…this month was a double! If you happen to look up at the sky just after dusk on Sunday, you’ll see something that only happens once in a blue moon — literally. That’s because the month’s second full moon, which is known as a blue moon, will be visible then. If you recall, May’s full flower moon occurred on May 1 this year, allowing us this month’s rare BOGO full moon opportunity. We won’t see another calendrical blue moon until December 2028, so while this isn’t super rare, it’s going to be a minute until it happens again. Some Tips: While Sunday is the date of the full moon, it will also appear full to the human eye on Saturday night. This moon will be extra special because it's also what astronomers call a "micromoon," which occurs when the moon reaches its farthest point from Earth in its monthly orbit, about 252,000 miles away. Though it will technically appear about 6% smaller than usual, you're unlikely to notice the difference with the naked eye. In fact, since this full moon will hang low in the southern sky, it might actually appear larger than normal due to an optical illusion that makes low-hanging moons look enormous.
