Today I visited Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India. According to ancient Vedic legends, during the Samudra Manthan (the divine churning of the cosmic ocean), a sacred nectar of immortality Amrit emerged. When this celestial nectar was carried across the heavens, drops of it are believed to have touched the Earth at four sacred places Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik, and Prayagraj giving them deep spiritual power. Bathing in these holy rivers is said to bring inner purification and divine blessings. Haridwar is truly known as the Gateway to the Divine — where faith flows like a river.
