This Friday, while the whole world is busy chasing deals and discounts, let’s take a moment to look beyond material things. In Vedic wisdom, every action creates karma. If Black Friday gives us 50–70% off on products, can we also give the same “discount” to our inner burdens like ego, fear, stress, and old habits that no longer support our growth? Just like we wait in long lines to buy a T-shirt on sale, can we also release negative thoughts and lighten our soul? On this Black Friday, instead of only filling our home with more items, let’s try to empty our mind of unnecessary stress. That will be the greatest saving a discount on karma and an investment in inner peace. Wishing you a Happy Black Friday!
Dear all my friends! Your questions and support make me so happy. Today I want to share something very interesting from Vedic Astrology Rahu and Ketu. These two planets have a very unique and powerful effect on our life, but they are different from all the other planets. In Vedic Astrology, we believe in nine planetary forces. Seven are commonly known Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn and even our weekdays are named after them! But there are two more very important planets in Vedic Astrology — Rahu and Ketu. The surprising thing is that they actually come from one single divine being according to ancient stories. During the Samudra Manthan, a divine nectar was being distributed, and a clever demon named Swarbhanu tried to take it by pretending to be a god. The Sun and Moon noticed this and informed Lord Vishnu, and a cosmic transformation took place Swarbhanu turned into two everlasting cosmic energies: his head became Rahu and his body became Ketu. Since then, Rahu and Ketu always stay opposite each other in the sky. They are known as shadow planets and are deeply connected to our past-life karmas and the lessons we must learn in this lifetime. Their placement in a birth chart can show where we feel strong desires and where we feel detachment, guiding both our worldly journey and our spiritual growth.
Today, I want to express my deep respect and gratitude to my Astrology Guru – Shri K. N. Rao ji. It is through his wisdom and teachings that I found the true depth of Jyotish. Every principle I practice today is rooted in the knowledge I received from him — a guiding light on my spiritual and astrological journey.
Today I visited Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India. According to ancient Vedic legends, during the Samudra Manthan (the divine churning of the cosmic ocean), a sacred nectar of immortality Amrit emerged. When this celestial nectar was carried across the heavens, drops of it are believed to have touched the Earth at four sacred places Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik, and Prayagraj giving them deep spiritual power. Bathing in these holy rivers is said to bring inner purification and divine blessings. Haridwar is truly known as the Gateway to the Divine — where faith flows like a river.
Thanks for the clear explanation about karma Lalit 🙏 it got me thinking, how do we know whether our karma is good or bad? And if we know we have bad karma and are practicing kindness just to improve our karma, then isn’t that being kind for a selfish and purpose driven reason, ie just to change our karma for our next life?!
