I think that there is no toxicity in positivity at all, except if there is a malice in there. The way I avoid it is don't feed the algorithm, take off social media for a couple of days.
So ultimately, I can then choose… does the content resonate with me right now? If yes, then I take it onboard, if not, then I let it slip away. I have the power to choose what I need and what I want to take in. Hope this makes sense!
Good question! I’d say ‘compassion’, I’ve learnt to ‘let them’ be as they are. I recognize it’s part of their personal journey. And I focus on my journey, which I have chosen to involve being true to myself & letting myself experience whatever I am experiencing, even if it’s grief or sadness or pain etc. This has made it easier for me to ‘ignore’ toxic positivity around me & feel more grounded & connected to myself & others.
