…Creating sacred sleep:
1. Your bedroom can be viewed as a temple, a sacred space that like a temple, invites quiet reflection, peaceful activity, and calm activity like light yoga stretching, tai chi/qi gong or meditation/prayer.
2. Create an altar containing spiritual reminders-pix of your spiritual teacher, guru, or guide; special gemstones, nature items etc-whatever brings/reminds you that there is a larger picture, space that holds all things.
3. Set “bedtime” earlier than usual to incorporate meditation, prayer, quiet meditative movement
4. End screen time before entering your sacred sleep “temple” (if you use your smartphone as an alarm, set it, then put it in a draw or out of sight, but within hearing distance so that you will hear it in the morning).
