In my personal understanding of Vedic thought, the human body is made from the five great elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space. These elements build our physical body, and when a person dies, each element returns to nature. This is why the body is considered temporary. However, I believe that the soul (Atma) and the mind (Manas) are different. They are not made from these five elements. In Vedic philosophy, the Sun (Surya) symbolizes the soul, and the Moon (Chandra) represents the mind. These are subtle forces, beyond the physical body. This is why the soul does not die — it leaves the body and moves on to take another one. From my perspective, the mind also travels with the soul. That’s why, in some cases, children are able to recall past-life experiences. For example, a child might show behavior, skills, or knowledge related to their previous life — like an engineer speaking with technical clarity even in early childhood. I also believe that thoughts and impressions from many lifetimes stay deep inside us, and sometimes appear in our dreams or intuitions. 🕉️ This is simply my personal reflection, based on Vedic wisdom and observations. I share it with respect for all beliefs and in the spirit of learning.
