Take away the thrill, the lust, the sex and what's left now a days? NOTHING. Just hollow eyes scrolling through lives that aren't theirs, mouths moving but never speaking, hands touching but never holding. We are all addicted to the rush, the quick hit, the illusion that being wanted means being known. Nobody sits through the boring parts anymore, nobody waits, nobody bleeds. We've made desire a transaction, you give your body, l give mine and we call it intimacy while our souls scream empty. We have no patience for silence, no tolerance for mistakes, no place for honesty. Boundaries are just jokes, feelings are weaknesses, and depth feels like a threat. We've traded time, effort, and loyalty for thrills that fade the second we close our eyes. We've confused being seen with being touched, being wanted with being understood. Everyone is a body first, a person second. Conversations die before they begin. Affection is measured in reactions, not in presence. And we keep moving, keep swiping, keep chasing the next high, blind to the fact that everything we touch leaves us emptier than before. And yet, we still wonder why nothing lasts, why everything feels hollow now. We already know the answers. We just refuse to sit long enough in the quiet to face them.
