Love was my mom making sure I had everything, even when she had nothing. Love was my mom sacrificing her own needs to make sure I had everything, while she had nothing. She was learning how to be a mother, doing the best she could, figuring it all out one day at a time. It's her first time being a mom and a woman, too. She faced her own struggles, her own doubts, and still found a way to give me everything she could. If I could meet her younger self, I'd tell her that she is enough, that her love will carry us through. Id tell her to be kinder to herself, to not be so hard on the days when she felt like she wasn't doing enough. I'd thank her for all the late nights, the early mornings, and the moments in between when she put me first, even when she didn't have to. Mom, if only I could go back in time. I want you to finish your studies, travel and see the world, make more memories, meet new friends, and keep the promises you made to yourself and your parents. I want you to enjoy your life and feel the joy and freedom you gave up for us. This is your first time living too, and you deserve to live it to the fullest.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
