When I close my eyes it takes me back. Back to a time where tradition and comfort made Christmas, A warm feeling takes over and I'm back to Christmas in the 90s. From Cadbury's selection stockings to picture advents. Picking the icing off the Santa from the iced Christmas cake and circling my wish list in the Argos catalog. Foll decorations, the glow from rainbow lights and pulling flimsy crackers with my cousins, The simple things that stuck so deep in our memory. The tinsel around my head at school nativity and writing Christmas cards to my classmates. My whole family being together reading cracker jokes and squeezing on a paper hat. Not being able to breathe after Christmas lunch yet squeezing in a mince pie A toast with BabyCham around the table and cheeky swigs of Baileys, This is what Christmas is all about. Simple things that bring joy. You don't need to be aesthetically pleasing be messy and make those core memories.
