I used to overthink every little thing and wonder why I was left out. I used to wait for messages, invitations, and signs that people still wanted me around. But somewhere along the way, I got tired of forcing myself into places where my presence barely mattered. Now, I no longer beg for attention or closeness. I learned how to enjoy my own company and protect my peace. If people want me in their life, they will make it clear. And if they don't, I no longer take it personally. Sometimes, healing looks like finally being okay with what no longer chooses you.
