There comes a point in life when you realise that you cannot truly rely on anyone for your emotional stability except yourself. When your sense of emotional safety rests in someone else or in something outside of you, their absence or even their temporary inability to be there for you can shake you to your core. It can feel as though the ground beneath your feet has suddenly disappeared and you are falling endlessly, with no hand reaching out to steady you. That does not necessarily mean the other person is wrong or uncaring. Often, they are simply carrying their own burdens. No one can be expected to hold both their struggles and yours at the same time. And so, you learn that at the end of the day, you must become your own anchor. You begin to find small, daily pockets of joy, quiet moments that steady you when the world feels as though it is spinning. You understand that while people may try to understand you, no one will ever fully experience your inner world the way you do. Ultimately, the deepest healing must come from within. You are the one who must reach for yourself. You are the one who must save yourself.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
