Done Being the Fool I am done being the fool who keeps giving the benefit of the doubt to people who have already shown me who they are. Done making excuses for behavior that hurts me. Done convincing myself that if I just love harder, wait longer, or understand more, things will somehow change. The truth is, wisdom often arrives disguised as disappointment. And I have learned enough lessons to know that protecting my peace is not cruelty, it is self-respect. I am no longer volunteering for heartbreak in the name of hope.
