My therapist said this to me: Getting through another day isn't about pretending you're okay. It's about admitting that some people won't show up- no matter how much you needed them to. Some days feel unbearable. Some days you move through life with a quiet ache in your chest, lost, exhausted wondering if anyone would notice if you disappeared into the noise. Things don't always unfold the way you prayed for. And sometimes you feel invisible even in rooms full of people. And this is the part that hurts the most-you don't need to be strong all the time. You don't need to have answers. You don't need to hold yourself together perfectly. You just need to stay. With yourself. For yourself. Because there are moments in life when showing up for you is the only kindness you'll receive-and somehow, it has to be enough.
