A hundred years from now, none of us will be here, and the houses me worked so hard to own will belong to someone else or may not even exist anymore. The money we saved and worried about will be spent and forgotten, the things we collected will fade, break, or scatter and even our photographs will lose their color until someday someone may look at them without knowing our names. This is not meant to make us sad, it is meant to set us free, because life was never about having control over everything. It was always about being here while we are here, about the laughter we shared, the kindness we offered, the risks me dared to take, the quiet mornings me watched the sky change, and the strength to rise again after falling. Life was never meant to be stored in drawers or counted in numbers, but lived deeply, fully and presently. So laugh more than necessary, love without keeping score, take the trip even if it's a small one, start the thing you keep delaying, forgive faster, speak what you feel and notice the beauty hidden inside ordinary days. We are not here to build monuments that last forever, we are here to live moments that feel alive while we are in them, and somehow, knowing this life is brief does not make it smaller, it makes it infinitely more precious.
