I know who I am now I know who I am now, and that has changed the way I move through life. I no longer need constant reassurance from other people to feel secure within myself, because I've taken the time to truly understand who I am beyond opinions, expectations, and projections. When you know yourself deeply, people lose the power to confuse you. Their assumptions stop feeling personal, their criticism stops defining you, and manipulation becomes easier to recognize because you are no longer disconnected from your own truth. There was a time I questioned myself too easily. I let other people's words shape how I saw myself, and I became disconnected from my own instincts trying to make sense of everyone else's perspective. But self awareness changes something inside you. It teaches you to trust what you feel, to pay attention to what aligns and what doesn't, and to stop shrinking every time someone misunderstands you. Now I understand that knowing yourself is a form of protection. When you are grounded in who you are, people can no longer convince you that you are difficult for having boundaries, selfish for choosing peace, or unworthy because they failed to value you correctly. You stop absorbing everything around you because you finally have a strong sense of self to return to. And honestly, there is something freeing about no longer needing the world to tell you who you are because you already know.
