I respect people who don't bother pretending to be good. At least they accept themselves for who they are and aren't living in denial about it. It doesn't make them right or good, but it's still better than pretending to be something else. Because the ones who pretend to be good while secretly creating chaos are a completely different problem. A bad person will always be a bad person. But pretending to be good while quietly causing damage is a very special kind of evil. It's deception wearing the costume of kindness. And the performance is usually for an audience, not for the truth. If you don't like me, come say it to my face. Don't disguise yourself as a friend and then go behind my back building strategies against me. Let's not like each other if ve must, but at least have some class, you owe me that much after pretending to be a well-tisher all these years.
