Loyalty isn't blind. It's earned. And it goes both ways. If you expect people to be loyal to you, you better be loyal to them. That means protecting them when things get hard. Fighting for them when they're not in the room. Investing in them when they're struggling. Loyalty isn't a one-way street. But loyalty also has limits. If someone repeatedly disrespects the standard, disrespects the team, or disrespects you, loyalty doesn't mean you keep them around. It means you gave them chances. And when those chances ran out, you made the call. That's not betrayal. That's leadership. Know the difference between being loyal and being a doormat. Loyalty is about mutual respect and commitment. Not blind allegiance to people who aren't holding up their end. Protect the ones who deserve it. Let go of the ones who don't.
