The Truth about Healing We have been sold the idea that once you start healing, life becomes this slow and steady climb toward peace and balance. Maybe you've read this book so far and thought that your journey will be smooth. In reality, healing is more like trying to climb a mountain during a thunderstorm while wearing flip-flops, with stones randomly hitting you from the mountaintop trying to throw you off balance. My dear friend, you will have good days. I hope you do. But they will not be so conclusive, like you finally crossed the bridge and now you are free. You will also have rough days, my friend. But they will not always mean that you are back to square one. On the good days, please give yourself some credit. Please acknowledge how you have come. Go ahead, be proud of yourself for getting out of bed, making it to work on time, even if you snoozed your wake up alarm five times. On the good days, breathe. Laugh. Just exist. On the days when everything will hurt for no clear reason, don't treat those days like betrayals. They re not proof that you are broken, as your mind might want to conclude. They're part of the journey.
Let's celebrate life's little blessings together. A space to share what you're thankful for and cultivate a habit of gratitude. Inspire others and be inspired by the power of appreciation.
