BACK IN THE DAY Back in the day, with our Motorola flip, Blasting Shakira and shaking our hips. We'd meet at the shop and hang out in the park, "Don't be too late, be home before dark." Dancing in a church hall, to a garage M.C, Downloading songs from LimeWire, to burn a C.D, Listening to our Walkman, Ashanti, Ja Rule, The green box or the hut, wed hang out after school. Craig David, Big Brother, The Weakest Link, 10p Freddos and an In-Bru drink. Hey Arnold, Sister Sister, Kenan and Kel, CITV after school, we remember it well, Rounders and Kirby, we played out on the street, Pink bubble bags and TNs on our feet. Five-pound spends, Lambrini to spin, Too much hairspray and eyebrows that were thin. We'd iron our hair; straighteners didn't exist, "Will you go with my mate?" How we were asked to be kissed, Blackberries, MSN, live on Parachat, No such thing as social media, we're so thankful for that! When we still spoke in person, no one lived through a screen, Not a care in the world, just being a teen! The last generation that grew up practically internet-free, Long gone are the days, a sweet memory!
