I used to think real love meant constant closeness, nonstop conversations, and always being available for each other every second of the day. Back then, distance felt dangerous to me, like silence automatically meant someone was losing interest or slowly walking away. But life eventually taught me something deeper about love and people. Everyone carries emotions, fears, pressure, and private battles they don't always know how to explain out loud. Sometimes the people we love need room to breathe, to heal, to process things quietly without feeling forced or rushed. And loving someone the right way means understanding that space is not always rejection. Sometimes it is trust. Sometimes it is patience. Sometimes it is choosing to stay emotionally present without demanding constant access to their mind or heart. I didn't understand that before, but now I know love can still be strong even in quiet moments, even in distance, and even in the pauses where nothing is said but loyalty remains.
