For me I feel most safe when I’m laying on my partner’s chest at night. I feel like he’s the protector standing watch as I fall asleep with his arms around me. He really has held space for me to heal. I am making so much progress in healing from trauma with him by my side. He’s the only one in the world with whom I’ve ever felt safe enough to share the details of my traumatic experiences. He is a great listener and a good friend. I’m very grateful to have him in my life.
