Hey 👋 , sharing this here for others who have indoor plants 🪴 🌱 & are interested to know where best to put them! This information is a response from Lalit to my question from the VastuSutram circle (an ancient Indian Architectural science, somewhat similar to China’s like Feng Shui!) Lalit’s reply: Yes, in Vastu it does matter where plants are placed in a home. Plants are not just decoration. They are living energy and they influence the balance of the house. North direction: Light, healthy plants are good here. This direction supports growth and movement, so plants should not block space or energy. East direction: The East is linked with the Sun, light, and new beginnings. Small or medium plants are suitable. Avoid plants that block morning sunlight, as blocked sunlight can affect health and mental clarity. North-East: This area should feel open and light. Avoid big or heavy plants. If needed, keep only a small, clean, calm-looking plant. South and South-West: Plants are better placed outside, in a balcony, garden, or near the boundary. Too many plants inside these areas can make the space feel heavy. West direction: Balance is important. Medium-sized plants are fine, but avoid overcrowding. Center of the home (Brahmasthan): According to Vastu, the center of the house should be open, clean, Important Vastu advice: Avoid thorny plants indoors Avoid plants with milky sap Avoid bonsai plants, as they represent restricted growth Never keep dry or dying plants inside
