People Love Telling Half the Story People can choose which part of the story they want to tell, and most of the time, they tell the version that makes them look better. They'll talk about your reaction but leave out what pushed you to that point. They'll speak about the distance between you but forget to mention the disrespect that created it. They'll tell others how things ended while conveniently skipping over how things began. The truth is, not everyone is interested in telling the whole story. Some people only share the pieces that protect their image and support their narrative. And if you're not careful, you'll spend your life trying to defend yourself against stories that were never told honestly in the first place. I've learned that I don't need to correct every misunderstanding or explain myself to every person who hears a one-sided version of events. The people who truly know my character will not be easily swayed by someone else's selective storytelling. Let them tell their version. The truth has a way of surviving, even when it isn't the loudest voice in the room.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
