And one day, you realize you've been loyal to someone who's never been sure about you. You wait, you understand, you minimize your needs just to keep the peace. You try to communicate, only to realize it's a one-sided effort. You shrink yourself mid-sentence, replaying your words, wondering when having needs became too much. And I'm sorry to be the one saying this, but this isn't love. It's emotional overextension. We confuse consistency in effort with consistency in presence. Real love doesn't make you suffer to earn it. It meets you halfway, without the reminders. So stop giving access to people who show up halfway. Love deeply, but never at the cost of disappearing to be chosen.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
