Maybe we've got it all wrong. Maybe the right person isn't the one who agrees with everything that you say or tries to always make you feel better about yourself, but rather—the right person is the one who is brutally honest and raw. Maybe the right person doesn't have the same ideas and beliefs about the world, and the lens through which they see everything and everyone is different. Maybe the right person isn't going to enhance who you are by constantly praising you but by challenging you, by showing you different ways of living until you become certain of why you have those beliefs and dreams and how you became this way. We're not supposed to find a knight in shining armour in another person but comfort, a sense of peace and perhaps—someone who feels like home.
