refusing to talk to me because you owe me an apology doesn't mean "protecting your peace." it means lacking accountability. it means choosing silence because saying sorry would require honesty. some people call themselves "unbothered" when really they are just running from the harm they caused. protecting your peace should never mean hurting others and pretending nothing happened. growth is being able to admit when you were wrong and make things right. ignoring the situation may feel easier now, but it solves nothing. and if the apology never comes, i'll let your silence be my closure.
