22 angels of Manchester A day we won't forget, the 22nd of May, when the memories pour in from that fateful day, where 22 souls went out to dance and sing, who never made it home, the night they grew their angel wings. a day where Mancunians wake with hearts that are blue, as we think of the families of our fallen 22. But we also remember, the great sense of pride that we felt, as we pulled each other up, from our knees where we knelt, for those souls we lost, many a tear we have cried, but we stand tall as one, with great Manchester pride. Where we all came together, every religion, every race, and showed the rest of the world, that there's no greater place. An act of hate that brought us together with love, as our 22 watch us dance on from the heavens above. A time when our city came together as one, so although it was grey, the sun always shone, for there's no where like Manchester, the city we love, our home, our community, where the bees always buzz.
