We were never meant to take sides, they are constructs designed to keep us fragmented, suspicious of one another, looking sideways instead of at the source, and if we strip it right back, we can all agree on who the enemy is. It is anyone or any system that exploits, harms or abuses children, that abuses women. It is anyone, or any system that is dehumanising, lies too, harms or abuses people. The enemy is the systems that continue to protect abusers, the cultures that excuse them and the hierarchies of wealth and power built on secrecy and impunity. This is about our humanity and the responsibility now, to see clearly, speak clearly, and absolutely refuse to participate in what allows harm to persist. What is happening right now is a mass awakening, and not in a glossy, spiritualised sense but a very real one. An awakening to how the world is structured, to who benefits, to how often we are lied to, manipulated and pacified. At first that knowledge will knock the wind out of you, especially with how dark it can get, but over time, something steadier emerges, because knowing the monster exists and seeing it clearly, is very different to unknowingly living alongside it, defending it, or mistaking it for safety.
