We would fight when we were younger, We'd argue until we cried, But one things for sure as we've grown, I'm thankful to have a sibling by my side. You're the only one who truly understands, What it's like to be me, You accept me as I am, And let me live authentically. We've shared the same family. You know what it's like to walk in my shoes, And although we're bonded by blood, You're the best friend l'd always choose. You know our family memories, The good ones and the bad, You've cried over the same loses, And had similar fights with Mum and Dad. We'd often hurt each other. But if anyone else even dared, We'd unite and have each other's back, Because it was us against the world. You look back on Christmas morning, You feel the same as I do, And amongst the special memories, There was always me and you Although we have grown older. And gone our separate ways, You're still part of who I am, You're the one i run to on bad days. But you nethe best thing aye fever got. A sibling and a lifelong best friend, To love and be loved no matter what.
