We are all fighting battles that no one knows about. We endure them silently because we do not always know how to put our pain into words. And sometimes, we are not even sure if others would understand or validate our experiences, especially when we have been dismissed time and time again. "It's all in your head." "It's not that serious." "You should just think positively." "You're not the only one." When the chaos in your mind has no outlet, it begins to build. It piles up quietly until, at times, you find yourself erupting over the smallest things. But it is rarely the moment itself that pushes you over the edge, it is everything that came before it. There is only so much we can carry. And so, sometimes we break. We say things we do not mean. We unintentionally hurt those who have never wronged us. Your trauma does not justify cruelty, nor does it excuse becoming someone else's source of pain. But when you slip, as you inevitably will after carrying so much alone for so long, you still deserve compassion without shame. You deserve grace and patience, just as you have given them so freely to others. You deserve to be held as you move through the messy, non-linear process of healing.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
