I think one of the hardest things to learn is that not everything you feel belongs to you. Sometimes people arrive with storms in their chests, anger that has nothing to do with you, sadness that began long before you, heaviness you were never meant to hold. And still, you can be kind, you can listen, you can understand, you can sit beside someone without stepping into their chaos. Because empathy is not drowning with them, it is standing steady at the shore, offering presence without losing your own breath. You are not responsible for regulating everyone around you and if you keep gathering every scattered emotion around you, you will forget the shape of your own peace. And you deserve peace that is yours, untouched and unburdened. So let people feel what they feel, without making it your responsibility to fix or absorb it. Care deeply, but protect your inner quiet like it's something sacred. Because it is!!! Be present, but don't dissolve into others. Peace doesn't come from being everything for everyone, it comes from finally realizing you don't have to be. And not every feeling that enters your world deserves to stay inside you. So be kind without overextending, supportive without sacrificing your mental space.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
