Maybe a hundred years from now, the world will keep spinning without pausing for even a breath of who we were, and the homes we fought so hard to build will belong to strangers who will never know the stories we carved into those walls; the treasures we guarded like pieces of our soul will be given away or thrown aside, and even the people who once loved us will eventually let our names soften into the blur of old photographs tucked in forgotten drawers, but in this brief, trembling moment we still get to choose what we carry, so pause and breathe, let go of the nights you lost over people who never held you with the same devotion, release the weight of being cheated on, lied to, underestimated, because every second spent clinging to that hurt is a second you'll never get back. Don't clinge to the things people have done to hurt you, because / know it hurts, I know it cuts deep, but you deserve to move forward, to rise clean, to be the light someone out there might be praying for, and more importantly, to be the light you've been needing for yourself all along. We all have a limited time, please make sure to make the most of it.
