Grandad Our kind and amazing Grandad, he truly was the best, our hearts are truly breaking as we lay his soul to rest. So many of our childhood memories were spent inside his home, playing in the garden and jumping on the stepping stones. Fishing in the river, memories we won't forget, a lover of his sports, a gamble and a bet. Pottering around the garden, to his plants he loved to tend, he wasn't just our Grandad, he was also our best friend. A lover of his Winegums, Grandad always has a cupboard full of sweets, and when it came to line dancing you couldn't keep him off his feet. A wonderful Husband, a brilliant Dad of two, we will carry his memory with us in everything we do. Generous and active, Grandad never missed a trick, he could also be very stubborn, with impeccable charm and wit. An incredible cook with his famous Sunday roast, his constant love and presence are just a few of the things that we will miss the most. But luckily we have many amazing memories to help us with our grief, like the time Grandad rang me in a panic, because he had almost flushed his teeth. His first ever IPhone he sent random emojis to everyone in his contact list, forever in our hearts, forever Grandad will be missed. So when we think of Grandad, we'll think of him and smile, for we know it's not goodbye forever, just for a little while. We will be loving and missing Grandad until we meet again, engraved upon our broken hearts is where he shall remain.
