I hope I get to grow old... I hope I get to grow old, even though society tells us that we should prevent ageing, like it's the greatest tragedy told. Like wrinkles are there to be ironed out, like the markers of time should be erased, instead of celebrating what a privilege it is, to have lines form upon our face. I hope I get to grow old, some souls left far too soon, who never saw their hair, turn to the silver of the moon. I hope I get to grow old, to savour every sunset, every dance, and remember what a privilege that is, because some souls never got the chance.
