I really like this Mayan prayer for cosmic balance. I especially resonate with the line “where I am broken, weave me back into the pattern”. I’m going to start incorporating Mesoamerican spirituality into my practice. One common theme in Mayan tradition is to ask nature for permission. When I build my garden this spring, I’ll do a little ritual to ask the earth for its consent for me to dig.
