Being asked for proof of love is the proof that it isn't love at all. Love doesn't need evidence, it shows up without being put on trial. I've seen people go to extreme lengths to prove it, like their life depends on it. Explaining, overgiving, overextending, just to be believed and accepted. No matter hot much you tell them the truth, they stay committed to proving themselves. Convincing the world their love is real, and that they're doing nothing wrong. And the painful part is, their love actually is genuine and honest. It's real, it's sincere, it's not something they're faking or forcing. But it's being tested in a place where it was never meant to be questioned. The fault isn't in the love, it's in the person asking for proof of it. Because the one demanding it is wrong, not the one giving it. Love that needs validation like that was never secure to begin with.
