The first time, I'll callit a mistake. The second time, I'll call it a choice. The first time you hurt me, fil give you grace. People make mistakes. People get things wrong. We all have moments we wish we could take back. But the second time? After I've told you how it affected me, after you've seen the damage, after you've had the opportunity to do better, that's no longer a mistake. That's a decision. I think maturity is realizing that patterns tell the truth louder than apologies ever will. Anyone can say they care. Anyone can promise change. But real change looks different. It shows up in behavior. It shows up in effort. It shows up in the things a person chooses not to repeat. So no, I won't keep calling repeated disrespect an accident. I wont keep confusing awareness with growth. The first time, I'll call it a mistake. The second time, I'll call it a choice. And from that point on, I'll believe you.
