I’LL NEVER TURN INTO WHAT BROKE ME I find beauty in the things that broke me because they couldn't change me. My love may not have been enough for someone, but that didn't mean it wasn't enough. I know everyone doesn't have the capacity to understand something they can't comprehend, and my depth is one only met when you're truly internally aware. I could never be what broke me because I don't have what it takes to make someone feel like they're worthless. I don't let a bad day turn into a bad life. I don't let unresolved trauma fester in someone else's heart. I take ownership of my emotions and never let them affect others. I know what it's like to feel real pain, and that kind of darkness isn't a place I like to live, let alone build in, so I remain optimistic with a soft heart. I'll always choose to find the beauty, the lesson, and the peace in what broke me instead of becoming a reflection of it. I'd rather be the light I never received than to turn into what shattered me.
