Never be with someone just for their potential. You'll wind up bitter and angry wondering why. Never be with someone just for "Love" because love doesn't mean a thing to most. Its a word easily thrown about without meaning. Love isn't one sided, it takes the effort of both. Love isnt some rom com or movie, where you stay head over heels in love. No, true love takes work, nurturing. Its hard work, yes. Probably the most work you'll put towards a relationship but if you love someone its worth it right? Remember if youre lucky to have someone who genuinely values you as a person, treasure that. However if you are in the same boat as I am, finding ways to make sense on why this person you loved isn't the person youre meant to be with, then all I can say is time heals all. I know for me things aren't the best as I try to move forward. Learn to recognize the signs of Domestic violence/abuse. Its not just physical its emotional, too. Either way, love is out there somewhere.
